The Mazda 2 is bloody reliable. I worked at Mazda and these are boring in the shop. Oil change, Brake change, never did anything else to them in my 2 years at the Mazda dealership. One guy came every month for oil change, because he drove 20.000km a month. Never had any issue. Full recommendation for this one.

I have a 2016 model, automatic. 211,000km and not had a single problem, it still drives like the day I bought it brand new. Very fun to drive.

My wife got the Genki in 2011. I felt like I was in a Mario kart, blasting around town. She got a new Evolve late last year. Nice little cars

Very happy to see the return of the pretentious small coffee holder mentioned. Absolutely crucial to my purchase decision

Have a 2008 Mazda 2 manual with 230,000klms on it. Used purely as the work commuter and city runabout. It is actually enjoyable to drive and proven to be incredibly reliable.

Mazda and Honda sedan chassis/suspension setup is arguably the best bang for buck

I bought a new Mazda 2 Evolve 2024 for my wife as a Learner, mainly because she likes the small size of the car. It turns out to be a great and fun car to drive around.

I bought a 2 sedan sport in 2017 soul red,the new series 6 speed auto. Awesome little car. Kept 3 years selling it at 120k. No dramas. Road trips to VIC north QldID and Perth from Toowoomba. 6.5 around town 4.7 on the open road. Used to piss people off when I was rounding up road trains and slow dirty diesel 4x4s. It had an old fashioned kick down switch under the accelerator. So much fun. One of the best cars I have owned. Absolutely no problems

I’m thinking rather than spending $30000 on a good used EV, and $15-20000 on a solar battery bank set up, I’d rather buy this or a Suzuki swift or ignis. Big outlay for a long term return. These ones give you instant return. My poor ol forester is on borrowed time I fear. Great show guys. Love it. Brisbane.

I note the relatively short " what can go wrong" with Jom segment is short.

Just bought one with a full history and it's a great little car. The exact spec of this one. It was a toss up between this and a rio. Really happy with the decision.

I`ve driven Mazda`s for 30 years, latest Mazda 2`s. Insanely reliable, never had any kind of expensive issue.

This car is super reliable. My 2018 has over 120k kms without a single engine fault. I drove over 4000 km this December with a 50km stretch on a rocky mountain road and she was great. 10/10 would recommend over a VW Polo.

We had the previous person 2008 genki for 12 years. Was the 2nd car and was excellent. Wasn’t frugal on fuel because was fun to drive so tended to have a less foot. Great first car great 2nd car
