Greetings from 2023, just bought my 2nd used Mazda2 from insurance auction. They are easy to work on and extremely reliable. Just awesome and fun to drive! (Kinda like driving an overpowered go-kart if you get a 5speed manual).

i just bought the 04 model for $1,500 and it’s so good, it wants you to throw it into corners, and it’s so fun to drive.

You all do a bang-up job reviewing used car reliability, likely the best. Knowing the common issues of a vehicle is key to helping buyers. Your mechanic is sharp, and I see 100% of what he says in my own experience.

I bought my wife this model, and i only wanted one that had the front, rear, sensors, and cameras. Let me tell you, she can park on a dime in the tightest of spaces in this thing. She loves it. She has driven my trucks, and she even had a Jeep SRT back in the day....she's comfortable in big cars....but we both like stress free grocery runs and city driving without the stress that big cars bring. And its been maintenance free since we owned it.

I just sold my Mazda 2 Neo. 10 years and 110,000km of solid reliable motoring. The servicing intervals were originally 6 months however around 2013-14 they changed it to every 12 months.

This is the car that VW should have copied when they redesigned the Beetle. No frills and cheap.

I had to pick between a Kia Rio and Mazda 2 when I was in Uni. I could've picked the Rio because of the practicality but once I test drove them both I enjoyed the Mazda 2 more and picked it. Good little run around car.

I had a 2007 Genki in dark purple for a few years. Sadly it got written off on the way home from the Takata recall. I moved house with it twice, and used it while working as a walking postie. I'd probably consider another one if I didn't need a ute at the moment. You can get the seats to fold flat by folding the bottom of the seats forward.

I daily a 2006 nc mx5 auto and recently drove a 2008 mazda 2 in the automatic and I have to say the mazda 2 is simply more fun to drive and feels more alive than the mx5, the 1.5 in the mazda 2 is a much sweeter engine than the 2.0 in the mx5, I was shocked with how much fun the mazda 2 actually is.
