New 3 Series revealed! Did BMW just fix EVERYTHING?
Ver originalIs the new BMW @BMW Serie 3 Sedán an absolute game-changer?! Explore new and used car deals with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-30-09 Meet the all-new BMW 3 Series! Mat's flown over to Germany for his chance to get hands-on with the new 3 Series and all-electric @BMW i3. So the question is, just how different is the all-electric i3 compared to the petrol-powered 3 Series? And if you’@JAC Rein the market for one of these newly released exports, which should you go for? Let’s take a closer look… From the outside, the two versions look almost identical. Up front, both cars have the Neue Klasse-inspired front end, which features a kidney grille design flanked on either side by thin headlights. In M350 guise, there are optional yellow DRLs as well, coupled with a sportier lower bumper. Both cars look almost identical from the side, while around the back, the M350 comes with a small bootleg spoiler, a fake diffuser, and a set of quad tailpipes - and they’re all real! However, while the two cars may look the same, under the skin they’re totally different! The i3 was built on an all-new dedicated platform; the petrol-powered 3 Series’s chassis is based on that of the previous iteration. The similarities also continue on the inside. Both cars have the same large infotainment screen in the centre of the dash, which comes with BMW’s latest infotainment system. There are soft-touch, high-quality materials throughout the cabin, and the M350 edition we have here comes with a sports steering wheel and sports seats. Both the i3 and 3 Series also have BMW’s all-new Panoramic Vision system, with stats stretching across the length of the windscreen. There’s also the option to add a head-up display, but given all the stats you need are in the Panoramic Vision system, you probably don’t need it. In terms of the 3 Series, the entry-level car that we’ll see in the UK is fitted with the 320 engine - a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 211hp and 330Nm. The range-topping M350 comes with the B58 engine - a 3-litre turbocharged straight-six with an incredible 443hp and 580Nm! That’s 50hp more than the previous edition! There will also be a plug-in hybrid car in the future, and BMW has confirmed there’ll be no diesel! As for the i3, the entry-level will feature a single motor that produces 170hp and 250Nm. There are other iterations throughout the range, with the top-line model being the i3 50 xDrive - a dual-motor, AWD edition that generates 469hp and 645Nm! The new BMW 3 Series starts from £44,975, with the price rising to £66,785 for the M350. So is it worth it? And more importantly, would you choose the i3 over the 3 Series? Let us know in the comments!Ocultar descripción

Meet the all-new BMW 3 Series!
Let’s take a closer look…

James May or Jeremy was right " Its like car designer don't want to design cars anymore "
1The loss of a cockpit dash is the worse thing ever these days. No more dials just bolted on iPads.. sad times.
1I know I’m old, I miss the old knobs and buttons. These screens make you take your eyes off the road.
1Maybe I'm getting old sooner than I thought coz I find all these new designs looks like they comes from those mobile games
1Hate the dash, the touch screen and the wheel. Bring back dials, buttons and switches.
1Bloody hate the missing dashboard and that there are no physical buttons for the air conditioner. 😢
1The front lights look like those fake light stickers on nascar. Kind of reminds me of lighting McQueen 😂
1“BMW Iconic Glow” ... the moment BMW turned decades of iconic kidney-grille heritage into a glowing kindergarten outline
1It's all fun and games until you start the car and an advert shows on your screen instead of gears, menu etc. And let's not forget the subscription to actually use your car
1I have owned my F82 M4 since 2016 and it had pretty much every option ticked. There's no way I would pay what BMW ask for a new G82 and I bet the new M3/M4 is going to cost even more. I wouldn't be surprised if the base cost of the new M3/4 is essentially double what they asked for the F80/82. The insane price rises together with the various legislation and tax changes has pretty much killed the joy from being a petrol head.
1Make a screenshot of how people are ranting now vs. when the new generation comes out in 7 years. Can't wait for the "we had it so good". "It actually grew on me". "the G50 was the last best 3 series" comments.
1The worst thing are the Infotainment screens and the steering wheels. The electric version looks weird in comparison, it looks vertically streched.
1Wtf!! They got rid of the instrument cluster?? For this panoramic view?? Who else agrees a car's interior feels totally incomplete without the good old instrument cluster right behind the steering wheel.
