1I have a 2020 Lincoln Navigator and I have the same concern about the torque converter. Very indecisive at slower speeds. Just had it serviced at 50k and the dealer said they have no idea what I’m talking about. Edit: also have the cam phase issue. It stops making noise a few minutes after start up.
1Id have been cool if they offered a coyote in a verient of some kind like a lobo or a raptor
1The drivers of these things are very aggressive. I guess it is a normal reaction when you put someone behind the wheel of something so heavy and powerful. “Large and in charge” is the vibe here.
1The V8 would be a better choice. The 5.4 that both the 2nd and 3rd generation models had were not the most reliable engines that Ford ever put in these (that would be the older 5.4 or the 4.6), but from what I've heard from this video, the Ecoboost engines are worse.
1You say the twin turbo V6 is fine and the V8 doesn't need to come back. Then the very next sentence you say the turbos have prematurely short lives. So yes, the V8 needs to come back.
1Awful vehicle when it comes to long term reliability. I know several people who had one
1A full size suv needs a v8 for me to even consider it.
