This is one of my "affordable dream cars" for if I am ever in a position to have two cars again.
1Even though this was the full GM era of Saturn, they are very cool. And these older Ecotec's, based off the orignal L61, were good motors.
1The Miata should be used as a benchmark when developing any manual top convertible
1I live near where GM used to build these. I remember that they had one on a platform next to the plant sign before the plant closed. Still a cool-looking little car.
1From what I recall, the only thing actually from or influenced by the Vette is the center console door lol. Otherwise, the powertrain and suspension layout is completely different. It has a Colorado manual, or a Cadillac automatic, so no transaxle, and no transverse leaf springs. If I could collect cars like I do in Forza, I'd have another one though lol.

1Before I got my Miata a month back, I was looking at this or the solstice, that Aisin trans was really appealing.
1Cool cars,as well as the sibling Pontiac Solstace! 😍😍 You failed to mention that these cars were also sold as the Opel GT in Europe..left hand drive countries only,and also as Daewoos,surprisingly,in South Korea.
1i was curious and it is an Aisin (Toyota) AR5 also used in Colorado / Canyon / H3 and a quite popular LS swap transmission. i know it is pretty popular with "American Barra" (GM Atlas) swaps also. i was really hoping we'd get some of the other rumored Kappa cars and/or that these would've kept going but nope i guess everyone needed subprime mortgages instead.
