Toyota is great at making cars that just work. The hybrid system and eCVT are smooth, efficient, and reliable. The interior is good enough. The price is fair. It's the perfect car for people who want something small to get around in. Most people aren't enthusiasts and don't care how their car drives so long as it gets them where they need to go.

The eAWD system is actually very good in snow, if you watch the power flow chart the rear axle is actually powered from every stop until 6-20 mph depending on model, you there is no slip and wait for the car to figure out where to put the power, it just goes. Can it rock crawl? Absolutely not, but it will serve most people better than other systems simply and efficiently.

Owned one for almost 3 years. It's great, just a boring little appliance with plasticky interior. Love the hybrid's power, and the eCVT is smooth and just disappears into the background. MPG is great, as stated. My wife doesn't care about cars and this is her perfect ride. The older, pre-facelift models have a simpler IP with analog speedo and tach...love it. I also love that it has a volume knob. I would recommend these.

Can you do a gas model?

I’d be really interested to see what happens to the rear axle when you disable TC and floor it in an empty lot on a rainy day, it’d be interesting to see how it manages the electric torque.

I’m not sure. At 37k it’s not that far really from an XLE Premium AWD RAV4 - 2026. You can get low optioned one for 40-41k. Might as well spend a little more. It’s a lot better of a car.

Zack the Lower Trimmed Hybrid, S and SE, have the smaller screen infotainment system with a KNOB. I just hate that it does NOT come with an Emergency Spare Tire.

Pointless vehicle other than being a Toyota you might as well get a Corolla or rav4. Also better resale value on better Toyota vehicles.

I have decided to loathe these cars specifically. There are many cars. There are good cars, and bad cars. This is so neutral it may as well not exist. Purchasing a Corolla Cross is the equivalent of opting out. You may as well simply take uber everywhere.
